Are you confident with the basic sewing techniques and want to advance your skills?
This workshop will introduce you to the sewing techniques used to construct garments. You will learn more about casings, zippers and hems and be introduced to patch pockets, waistbands, buttons & buttonholes.
You will cover general skills and techniques such as topstitching, attaching interfacing, bagging out and the construction of a mock fly, while refining the skills learnt from the basics workshop to ensure you have a thorough knowledge of all techniques.
Items you will sew:
- east of grey designed pyjama shorts with elastic casing, patch pocket and bow drawstring feature at centre front.
- east of grey designed skirt with zipper and waistband.
Kim’s studio is based in Runaway Bay on the Gold Coast so bring your machine, fabric and tools and learn the great art of sewing. You can learn to sew one-to-one or in groups, gather your friends, minimum 3 people per group. Workshops run over 4 weeks, one 2 hour session per week for 4 weeks. Workshop sessions are Monday through Saturday 9.30am – 11.30am or 12.30pm – 2.30pm.
One-on-one Workshop – 4 weeks: $400 inc. GST
Price per session = $100 inc. GST
One-on-one Weekend Workshop – 6 hours: $380 inc. GST
Gather 2 friends to form a Group Workshop – 4 weeks: $200 inc. GST
Price per session = $50 inc. GST
Group Weekend Workshop – 6 hours: $185 inc. GST
20% deposit required on booking. 72 hours notice for cancellations.
